Currently serving as Deputy General Manager – Credit Risk at the National Bank of Egypt, I manage a diversified SME portfolio of USD 175M and 2,400+ clients, where I successfully reduced default rates from 7% to below 5% through credit model overhauls, Basel III/IV alignment, and ESG integration. Alongside my executive role, I lecture MBA and DBA programs in Corporate Finance, Credit Risk, and Portfolio Management at leading institutions including ESLSCA University, Arab Academy, and Western State University. I have supervised 40+ theses and continue to guide research in SME credit risk, ESG in finance, and financial analytics.
